Jennifer Colten’s work focuses on ambiguous landscapes and histories of cultural and geographic space. Her photographic practice commits to an exploration of sites at the margins the urban environment addressing social, cultural and environmental implications of land use.
Colten has received funding from the Mid-America Arts Alliance, the Ferguson Academic Seed Fund, and grants from Regional Arts Commission in St Louis. Colten’s photographs have been collected Nationally and Internationally. Selections include:
